Benefits for the skin

If you begin to use Centella asiatica products within your skincare regime, you can expect to have a strengthened skin barrier, without any irritation. Centella asiatica is excellent for soothing skin and generating younger flawless skin. Lets see the benefits of this potent botanical.

Anti-aging:

With time, we all will get visible lines on our face. However, that doesn’t mean you cannot slow down the natural process of aging. Centella asiatica promotes collagen production, specifically, type I collagen, which increases the elasticity and firmness of our skin.

Healing:

Centella asiatica contains four components (asiatic acid, madecassic acid, asiaticoside and madecassoside) that promote wound healing, through boosting collagen production and increasing blood flow to increase new skin cell growth. Madecassoside is also responsible for preventing the growth of bacteria that cause acne and reduces unfavourable side effects including itching, scarring and redness.

Antioxidant activity:

Centella Asiatica is stellar for tackling the effects of toxic polluted city air. It is packed with vitamins A, B1,B2 and B3, C, which collectively brighten the skin and are packed with natural antioxidants which help fight skin damaging free-radicals (polluted air and UV rays).

Tip: Centella asiatica is known to be sensitive on all skin types, however, it is always important to do a patch test, whenever you use a new beauty product. You can choose to pair up Centella asiatica products with glycolic acid products to help bolster your skin's collagen production.
